The Oregon Community Foundation awarded Philomath Community Foundation a $2,500 grant  for general support. According to its President & CEO Max Williams, the Oregon Community Foundation appreciates the important work the Philomath Community Foundation performs on behalf of the community.

 

“We are uniquely based in the Philomath area—representing local values and concerns,“ said Joe Malcom, President, Board of Directors, Philomath Community Foundation. “This generous grant helps us continue to promote local philanthropy and to partner with others, supporting projects that meet the needs of the Philomath community.”

 

​The Oregon Community Foundation envisions a healthy, thriving, sustainable Oregon. Established in 1973, thanks to the generosity of donors who share that vision, OCF now manages more than 2,900 charitable funds. OCF’s work centers on its mission, “To improve the lives of all Oregonians through the power of philanthropy.”

PCF is committed to serving the needs of youth and family, assisting the elderly and fostering community service, including arts and economic development. PCF fulfills its mission as a 501(c)(3) foundation by encouraging private giving to charitable endowments for the public good; providing a flexible tax exempt way for donors with diverse philanthropic interests to make gifts benefiting the community;  and carrying out grant and gift-making programs that are visionary, inclusive, and enhance the quality of life in the Philomath community.

 

PCF Grant recipients in 2019 included Philomath Community Services, Philomath Youth Activities Club, Benton Furniture Share, Philomath High School, and Kings Valley Charter School. Eleven Philomath High School graduates were awarded educational scholarships. Additionally, Philomath Performing Arts Benefit Fund, Lilly’s Lope for Hope, We Care, and Philomath Rotary Club benefit from services that PCF provides.
