Terry Selby Memorial Scholarship

The Philomath Community Foundation will award the $1,000 scholarship to a Philomath School District graduating senior. This scholarship is a gift from the Selby family. Terry Selby was a Forestry teacher at Philomath High School from 1986 until 2002. Through education and hard work, Terry spent his adult life teaching forestry skills and sharing his love of nature and the sciences. 

 

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist an outstanding Forestry student with his/her pursuit of further education. This scholarship will be awarded and then distributed to the recipient upon receipt, by PCF, of proof of enrollment at a 4-year university, community college or vocational/technical school. Priority will be placed on students who have completed the School of Forestry or Forest Management programs in the Philomath School District

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Student must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA

  2. Attach required letter(s) of recommendation

  3. Attach a copy of the applicant's most recent high school transcripts

Avoid using an outdated form. Wait until Jan. 1 of the year in which you  plan to submit this application to print or download  it. 

Scholarship Recipient Info Deadline.  Recipients must contact PCF  and provide information by Dec. 31 See the back of the award certificate for instructions. Without information from recipient,  PCF  will be unable to distribute scholarship money.
